After lecture yesterday, a group of us decided to go to Bishan Park to play with candles. It's lantern festival and I remember when I was younger, that I will never fail to carry lanterns, light up candles and play with sparklers. I will usually play with my brother, cousins and some neighbours and it was really great fun.

Same for yesterday, we were all like kids again. Haha.. Talked, joked and laughed while lighting up lots of candles? Haha the sparklers were fun too. They had the firecrackers sound and it gave all of us a shock when we lit them up the first time.

Next was something really, really, really freaky. It was weird. Something about I saying about killing ants with the flame.. which I seriously didn't say. However, Boon Sze heard me saying it. Then Clarice said she heard it too.. then Shiya.. then michelle.. So everyone like heard it. I remembered clearly that I was busy lighting up my candles and at the time I was paying no attention to the conversation till I heard my name. Strange. Freaky strange. Ok let's not talk about it..

Now busy with projects. Zzzzz.. and deadline is just next week. Kinda tired now.. better get some sleep..

I am not asking for much.. am I?

I just wanna live life the way I want it to be. A realistic one of course but yet, I feel that there are sometimes too many restrictions and limitations.

I want to learn and gain experience. I want to help and reach out to others. I simply want to give. At the same time, I want to enjoy and be happy. Won't life be more meaningful that way? Life is short and in the years to come you will be thinking that time is passing way too fast. Once something is over, it's over. You can't possibly go back and do something you had missed.

Opportunies are many but how sure are you in grabbing them? How sure are you in taking that very chance? When I am older, I definitely do not want to be looking back and regretting what chances I did not take and the chances had missed.

Are our elders always right? Like they say, we younger people will only understand when we grow up. Well maybe that's true.. but..

They have many concerns and worries and I fully understand. It shows that they care.. but..

In life, there are always risks to take and decisions to make. I still think that opportunities shouldn't be wasted. But somehow there will always be a barrier in someway or another.

I guess I am talking total rubbish.. but.. oh well, I don't know.. Time will tell..

I am 17 years old today! Oh nooo..!

Had jap buffet for lunch at Pan Pacific with my family. The food was really good! It was ex of course but definitely worth it. Yummmmm! Bought a bday cake frm Pan Pacific too.. it was Tiramisu cake again.. lol..

Just cut the cake and it was different from any other Tiramisu cakes. It was like a cheese cake with coffee and a little wine. It's a little sweet but it was nice. =D~

Kinda picked a lot of numbers today. I even picked for myself.. just for the fun for it. The no. 0444.. hmm doesn't look nice but you never know!! =X

Gonna finish up watching the vcd. By the way, the title is Tiramisu..

All of us went to eat at Jack's Place Orchard. The usual peeps.. haha I guess have to type their names here.. Ahem.. Clarice, Shiya, Michelle, Boon Sze, Mel, Silas, Chalven and Adib! After eating my main course and a few teaspoons of ice cream, the birthday song was suddenly played and out came a birthday cake! How nice.. Haha.. There were also a group of people at the other table and I think they sang for me too =X.. Yeah and of course, not forgetting my bday present! (Btw, opened it a few mins ago. A meaningful 'Things to Always Remember' poster and Keane CD!)

After lunch, went to The Esplanade and hung around there. Admired the view, enjoyed the breeze and crapped around. Took pics too, behaving like totally mad people.. Haha we went to visit Merlion Gege again. =P

Hmm we took a long time where to go later. Clarice and I wanted to go to Mt Faber but the rest didn't want to. After much discussion, we decided to eat BK at City Hall. However, Clarice and I went to Subway eat.

Talking about Subway, oh erm, we were like Subway idiots. Lol.. but ya can't blame me, it was my first time eating it. The first thing that happen was about the ordering. What's Subway Melt.. The lettuce, onion, cucumber thing.. the potato chips Clarice opened with a BOOM.. and the straw that was put wrongly and there was splashes on lemon tea here and there.. How crazy!

After dinner, went opposite Funan to look at specs but sadly, the shop was already closed.

Last destination, Clarke Quay.. Almost everyone left by then. Only Clarice, Shiya and Michelle. Took the remaining pics there, sing songs and was definitely in crazy mode.

Most importantly, what a nice celebration today. Yup, I am happy! Thanks to you guys.. =P

Let me start by saying happy birthday to my classmate Melody.. Hehe..

Well, after sch today, Clarice, Michelle and I went to Newton Circus for lunch. Had xiao wan mian, dumplings and a cup of sugar cane juice. Haha was eating happily when Michelle suddenly shouted. Guess what? A housefly dropped into Rice's drink. That was really disgusting.. Michelle still could look at it so many times.. Yucks man! =X

Later met pz at somerset. She asked me out so that she can treat me to Marche as a form of celebration for my bday. She was late!!! But what's new? =X She was with 2 of her friends and we went to Heeren to look around and took neoprints. Later her friends and us went separate ways. We watched the choir boys at Cine then decided to eat at Pasta Mania. Awww.. no Marche eventually. Haha cause we were like kinda broke. (But pz, thanks for the treat for the movie!)

So went to kino later to browse around. After that while walking to Wisma, I saw Michelle again! Haha it was so funny.. Michelle was like smiling and jumping away. (So happy to see me, right?) Anyway, my friend said she don't look like a 17 year old too! Hahahahha! She said like sec 2! =X =X

Oh yes, just now I saw a letter on my table and at 1 look, I knew it was Ting's handwriting.. Hehe it was a bday card.. Thanks!! It's really very sweet. =) Haha really miss her and hope we can get together someday.

So tired now.. Hope there will be lots more fun tomorrow! Better catch some rest now.. Zzzzzzz

Don't know what's wrong with me today. Feeling moody.. feeling sad.. I don't know..

I guess I am just thinking too much..

I just wish all those thoughts would just go away..

Here's the scenario..

As a child, you love nature and animals. The breathtaking views of beautiful landscapes, the way trees dance when a the soft gentle wind blows by, horses trotting on the green fields and so on..

You are walking on a long, winding path. At a turn, there are two paths to choose. You stop and feel that you are caught in a dilemma.

Path A leads to a countryside and that is where u truly want to belong. You will live in a small squeezy cottage and you own a farm. You will own all animals you love. Looking of the window will be the most beautiful art you have ever seen. A river leading to a natural waterfall and flowers blooming in rainbow colours. Further down at the other side, was a sandy beach and the clear blue sea.

It is everything you ever wanted and ever dream of. However all your life, you will be poor. What's more, you heard rumours that the Path A is dangerous and filled with obstacles. People say that you will bearly make it there alive. Even if you reach the countryside alive, you will suffer and regret terribly.

Path B leads to a Kingdom called the land of treasures. You will be a famous person living in the biggest palace ever known, served with the best food and dressed in the finest clothes. You will be the richest person in history as all the rarest treasures belongs to you and you have piles and piles of gold in your palace.

It is everything everyone wants, but not you. Fame and money can guarantee a comfortable life but can it guarantee happiness?

Thoughts keep coming back and forth.

You can't seem to come to a decision. Night is falling and a choice has to be made as soon as possible. You see people walking towards Path B, one after another.

Should you take the advice of others and just go to the kingdom? Or will you fight for your belief and dream and go to the countryside?

Which will you choose?

It's raining quite heavily now. A perfect time to sleep but too bad I don't have the mood to.

Wow.. October is nearing. Indeed, time doesn't wait for you. It seems that is was only yesterday when I entered the polytechnic.. Still adapting to the new type of school life. Now, 3 months have passed so quickly.

Anyway, I think the exams will be in Oct but I am not sure about the date. I just know that I can't wait for the holidays. Haha exams are not even here yet and I am talking about holidays. Don't I deserve a slap? =X But well, I gotta do my best and put in effort.

Will I? Can I? I gotta try man... Or that stupid 6 letter word will surface again...

Hardly have any time to blog these days. Feeling tired and lazy.

Haha now i am in school and I will just take the opportunity to blog...

Marketing presentation is over and today's econs. Now gotta wear formally during presentations. Office clothes. Hahaa.. how smart but still not used to it yet.

I guess after this presentation, I will feel more at ease. However, still 2 more projects to go for EWS. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

After lessons today, Duck, Rice, Boonzy, Xiumei and went to find a lab so we could settle down to do our projects. We were kinda shifting from lab to lab due to classes having lessons. Anyway, while we were in one lab, some Year 2 were like chasing us out. I don't know what was going on at first until Rice and Duck were like kinda talking about something about those think-they-are-so-big ppl. They were super unreasonable and I don't know what's their bloody problem. So what we are "Only Year 1s"? We are not wrong in any way. It was just that we had some problem saving our file in our diskette and that's why we were taking a long time. Well, let's just ignore these ppl. Not worth getting angry over them. =)

Yup so finally when we were done with the project, we went to Little India to eat Thosai! Hehe.. not bad. Apparently, Rice always make good recommendations. (Happy now, Clarice? I am praising you) Haha.. yeah after that Xiumei left at Dhoby mrt and the 4 of us went to City Hall. Along the way, we were total nuts. We were in super crazy mode. Can't blame us, we were just releasing stress. =X

We went to The Esplanade. Sat down and looked at the nice view of the Singapore River or whatever river u call that. We watched Woodlands Ring Primary with their concert band performance which ended about 8pm. Woo.. that's when the night view was just lovely. Hehe so we walked by the road down to where the Merlion is and took pics!

Last stop, Lau Pa Sat. We ordered the famous satay, Sambal stingray and You Cai. Hehe yummy dinner we had. Ok, thanks to Rice again.

Had a fun day today. It's always good to take a break. We got to be rewarded for working hard sometimes. Hehe.. Ok enough said, it's time for me to complete my project. Got some touching up to do.

Was sooooo tired during the morning lecture. Slept really late last night and woke up sooooo early. I was trying my very best to concentrate.

Finally some ICAs are cleared. 2 down this week and 1 more to go next week. Oh no, next week is presentation week too. Hahaha.. welcome to the real poly life.. Where the projects keep rolling in and the work keeps piling up.. -_-!"

Anyway, went to NUH to do a CT scan right after school. I can tell you that when I came back, I straight away went to my bed and dozed off almost immediately. Yeap, that's how tired I am.

It will soon be 10pm. Gonna watch Singapore Idol to see the results. I think some Idol hopefuls do have the potential though sometimes we may think that our locals here can't make it big. Well, we will see.

Got back my Marketing ICA 1 and 2. Marketing ICA 1 was not bad but ICA 2 was total shit. I knew I did badly for that one but didn't expect it to be that bad!?

Oh well.. accounts ICA tmr and I am still confuse over the stupid debit and credit thing. Gotta know when to plus and minus and I am getting all mixed up. Wanted to ask my bro about it but he's still not back yet..

We are given more group projects today. I guess it will never end till the semester is over...

My trip to Korea is confirmed. I will be leaving on the 20th of November and will be there for a week.

Usually, I always feel happy going for holidays. What's more a big group is going. My aunts, uncles and cousins. Just love the company of my love ones and we will be having fun together as one big family. However, I just feel something that tells me I don't deserve to go.

I don't know why I feel that way but today's "winter shopping" made me even worse. Bought quite a lot of stuffs and my Mum didn't seem to mind.

The exams will arrive in a blink, wonder if I will meet expectations? I don't wanna aim high or anything but I need to do my best, at least. But then again, I don't seem to be putting in any effort.

I am sure I don't wanna get any sup paper and let any 1 down. And that includes myself...

Went cycling yesterday with my neighbour. Cycled to serangoon gardens, amk, towards bishan and made a big round back again. Great exercise for my right leg. It's still rather weak..

As for today, finally got to watch a movie after so long. Watched 13 going on 30 with boots at cineleisure. The show was not bad. Later boots and I went to look for birthday presents. She bought a pencil case for her bro and a bought a cute little pink piggy and a hp case for my cousin. Arghh that piggy is so cute. Too bad it can accompany me for only 2 weeks before I give it to my cousin.. Haha..

Anyway about the show, after watching it, I realised that having what you want might not make you happy. Having fame, money, status etc.. So what? Family and friends are still above everything. We just got to be contented with what we have and we can't expect too much in life.

Another thing is that mistakes are part and parcel of life. Even if we got a wish to go back in time, it will be no use. Well, making a mistake will enable us to learn from it and to make sure it does not happen again. If we didn't make a mistake, we will never learn from them.

I can't ask for more.. I may not have what I want but that isn't important. What's important is that I have such a wonderful family and I have great friends.

What I want? That can wait.. =)
